Is it legal to hunt coyotes at night in Wyoming?

Is it legal to hunt at night in Wyoming? No, at least not if you're on public land. The capturing of animals with the help of artificial light or a lighting equipment is prohibited by Wyoming law. However, since most coyotes are found on private property, people are allowed to hunt them at night if they have the owner's permission.

Coyotes are nocturnal and usually avoid humans, but they will often visit areas where people live or work. This can include rural homes in close proximity to farms or commercial businesses. Since coyotes tend to be more active at night, setting out motion-activated lights to attract them isn't recommended. Instead, consider contacting your local animal control agency or wildlife biologist to learn more about coyote management practices that may be implemented in your area.

In addition to being illegal to hunt at night, coyotes are also protected species under federal law. Thus, any goods taken from a dead coyote can be confiscated by authorities. People who illegally kill coyotes on public land could be fined up to $5,000 or sentenced to one year in prison. Private landowners who allow coyotes to invade their property do not need to worry about legal consequences as long as they act promptly to correct the problem once they discover it.

Coyotes are responsible for a large number of livestock deaths each year.

Sunday deer hunting is permitted under state law during established deer hunting seasons on private grounds with landowner authorization and on selected publicly-owned lands. Delaware's deer seasons in 2020 and 2021 are scheduled to begin in September. Sunday hunting is permitted using the techniques permissible for the hunting seasons in effect on that Sunday. For example, if the season is closed to bow hunting, then you cannot use a bow to kill a deer; instead, you would have to use a rifle.

During this period, anyone who is at least 14 years old can go out into the field and shoot arrows at deer. If you hit your target, you get to keep the antlerless animal and its meat. If you don't hit your mark, then you will need to track down another hunter who did hit their target and trade animals. This process will continue until you have enough success to make the sport enjoyable.

The legality of hunting on Sundays in Delaware depends on which county you're in and which laws apply within those counties.
